Hello, my name is Marissa, and I would be honored to be your primary care provider. As your provider my goal is to manage all of your health care needs- no matter how big or small. I have a great deal of experience managing chronic conditions such as: COPD, heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, arthritis, chronic pain, congestive heart failure,  renal disease, depression, anxiety, dementia and much more! 

 

My passion for helping others began at the age of six on the farm where I grew up in Tully, NY. It was a cold winters day when I found a newborn pup lying under its mother. Quickly I sprang into action to save his life by performing chest compressions and yes- mouth to mouth respirations. At that time being only six, I had no idea what else to do, but trusted my instincts (and maybe got a couple tips from my favorite show in the 90s- ER!) Soon, I realized the pup began to gasp, took a deep breath, and I could feel a pulse! While this pup did not make it, it did survive another few days! My passion continued to thrive to help others from that day forward. 

 

The truth is- we are in a world where our healthcare system is changing, it is overwhelmed, and chronic health conditions are being overlooked. This is causing a great rise in hospitalizations and the utilization of urgent cares. In return, the care of all people, all ages, is declining. It is time to get back to taking care of people and managing their entire healthcare needs from day one. While referrals are sometimes necessary there are many health conditions that can be carefully managed in house, saving you from rising healthcare costs, and inconvenience.
